CHAPTER 11 ON THE DOORSTEP

After many days of sailing towards the Lonely Mountain, misery overcomes the gang. When they get to the Mountain, the dwarfs send spies to go and find the entrance. Unfortunately they don’t have much luck. After about two days they find the door, but they cannot open it. After a lot of thinking, Bilbo tells the dwarfs his plan. The plan was that they would use the light of Durains Day to shine it on a rock to create a visible key hole. Thorin puts in the key and it opened

CHAPTER 10 A WARM WELCOME

Once the barrels got to where they were going to, an elf captain of a raft brought the barrels to a lake town of elves. Bilbo opens each barrel with a dwarf in it. The Wood-Elves seem to know the dwarfs, and give them all comfort, food, and relaxation! After a few days at the lake town, they get on boats to get to the Lonely Mountain!

CHAPTER 9 BARRELS OUT OF THE BOND

After the spider thing, Bilbo and the dwarfs get captured by Wood-Elves and are sent to their elf kingdom as prisoners. Bilbo puts on his magic ring and slips away unseen. As for the dwarfs {Thorin was already captured, so he was also part of this lot!} they are locked up in cells. Bilbo was inside the palace and got an idea to get the dwarfs out. While the guards are asleep Bilbo snatches the keys, opens the doors, gets the dwarfs into some barrels, and roll the barrels out into a small porthole. The porthole leads to a river for sending barrels to one place to another; and out they go!

CHAPTER 8 FLIES AND SPIDERS

With Gandalf doing wizardly stuff, the gang is on their own. Bilbo and the dwarfs have been living off of the supplies that Beron gave them, and it’s just not working out because they are nearly out of stuff. They find a rope that leads to a boat in the middle of the night, but it slips out of their hands and is never seen again. Bilbo somehow became lost. When he finds the dwarfs, they are cocooned in spider string ready to be eaten! Bilbo cuts open the cocoons and they kill most of the spiders and make a dash for it! When they’re all fast asleep, Dwalin, one of the dwarfs, notices that Thorin is missing

CHAPTER 7 QUEER LODGINGS

After the they escaped the Wargs, the eagles help them escape and let Bilbo, Gandalf, and the dwarfs stay there for a night. The next day they pack up, and Gandalf says that he knows a skin-changer named Beron that can help them get food. When they get to where Beron lives, Gandalf told him of the adventures so far. Beron lets them stay for three days then sets them of with all they need. Gandalf also had some wizardly stuff to do.

CHAPTER 6 OUT OF THE FRYING PAN INTO THE FIRE

As Bilbo went to go out and find his friends, he somehow had gone to the other side of the Misty Mountains! He soon found them by hearing there voices out in the forest. Then, as night began to roll out, a bunch of evil Wargs, wolf-like creatures, and goblins came and attacked, but Bilbo and the party climb up trees to escape. So the goblins set the trees on fire! Luckily, the Lord of the Eagles takes them to his giant nest.

CHAPTER 5 RIDDLES IN THE DARK

When Bilbo woke up, his friends were nowhere to be seen. He walked down a narrow path until, he found a small little ring. He put it in his pocket and kept on walking until he saw the most nasty, repulsive, vile, little, creature ever whose name was Gollum. They hosted a riddle contest I which the winner gets to eat the other one. Bilbo wins which makes Gollum very, very, very mad. Bilbo gets away and finds an exit but it is engulfed with goblins. Bilbo slips on the ring and he turns invisible! Then he slips through the door to the outside!

CHAPTER 4 OVER THE HILL AND UNDER

As they go slowly through the Misty Mountains, they find a cave to rest in. But, a bunch of goblins find them in there and take them as prisoners. Then the dwarfs and Bilbo where brought to the Great Goblin King. Suddenly the lights go out, and Gandalf kills the Great Goblin. To escape, they all run like mad! But Bilbo gets left behind laying there......... to be continued!

CHAPTER 3 A SHORT REST

As they get to the beginning of the Misty Mountains all was quiet. All of the sudden, some elves pop out of nowhere and sing a song! There leader, Elrond, welcomes Gandalf, Bilbo, and the dwarfs to his elvish place, Rivendale. Elrond gives a sword to the dwarf Thorin, which killed many goblins in war! The next day the party says farewell to Rivendale.

CHAPTER 2 ROAST MUTTON

The next day they started the journey to get the dwarfs treasure back from the dragon Smaug. As they went into the Lone-lands, things where not good for the hobbit. It was gloomy and it was raining a lot. As they go deeper into a forest a little red light shines. It was trolls roasting mutton around a campfire. The trolls plan to eat Bilbo and the dwarfs but, luckily the sun comes out and turns them into stone!

CHAPTER 1 AN UNEXPECTED PARTY

The story begins at Bilbo's hobbit-hole, where unexpectedly Gandalf the Great Wizard arrives. Gandalf tells Bilbo he is needed for a great journey to help Gandalf and a group of dwarfs retrieve their treasure . Bilbo says no, but the next day Gandalf comes back with a lot of dwarfs! The dwarfs sing a song and a lot of merry things!
